Turkish Catastrophe Insurance Pool (TCIP) Earthquake Resistant Design Competition, which was held for the 6th time in this year, our project named ATARISE, which was prepared by our team consisting of the project captain Metin AYTEKIN (Civil Engineering), Ahmet İNCE (Civil Engineering), Abdülkadir YILDIRIM (Architecture) and Mert KANDEMİR (Civil Engineering) under the supervision of Dr. Hürmet KÜÇÜKGÖNCÜ, qualified for the finals on behalf of Abdullah Gül University.

Within the scope of the "TCIP Earthquake Resistant Building Design Competition-2022", a business center building project, which is envisaged to be located in Istanbul (Ataşehir) Finance Center, was suggested to be designed and presented. The project designed for the competition is named as ATARISE because it is desired to be the address and center of the ascension. In order to be in harmony with the buildings in the Istanbul Financial Center, our project is designed as a setback building model consisting of 25 floors, rising in an octagonal form on the outside. In order to preserve the integrity in our design, a building design that rises in a symmetrical form has been adopted, and the regular continuation of the pattern in the building has been ensured by using diagonal elements every two floors.

TCIP Earthquake Resistant Design Competition is the Turkish version of the Seismic Design Competition organized by the Student Leadership Council (SLC) of the Earthquake Engineering Research Institute (EERI) in the USA since 2003. The Earthquake Resistant Building Design Competition, which has aroused great repercussions in Turkey and in the world with its concept and mechanism, is a competition that has won prestigious awards both in the national and international arena and is being held for the 6th time this year.
