Mechanics Laboratory
There are high technology instruments for education and research and development in the Abdullah Gül University Civil Engineering Mechanics Laboratory. These instruments are very important in providing modern and innovative education complying with world standards. AGU CE students have the oppoturnity to examine the forces on structural elements and how these forces are separated into their components for the static course using these instruments. For the CE 221-Mechanics and CE 222-Strength of Materials courses, students can examine thin-walled cylinder and thick-walled cylinder behavior, buckling behavior, and diaphragm behavior.
Besides to education, research and development studies are also conducted in the mechanics laboratory. Composite materials can be also produced using 3D printers in this laboratory and the mechanical behavior of these materials can be observed. Thereby, the strength and durability of the produced materials can be determined in this lab.
